For many years it was assumed that the D Day map was produced by the toy company Chad Valley. However there is a reference painted on the bottom right of the map “IMA SW19”.
It has now been accepted that the map was produced by International Model Aircraft Factory in Wimbledon SW19 by 3 brothers called the Lines Brothers.
Their factory was The Tri-Ang toy factory and evolved from 3 lines to make a triangle.
