Mission Statement from our President

“The Regulating Branch and Royal Navy Police Association exists primarily to foster comradeship, loyalty and compassion in a personalised way among members.

It is a caring and vibrant organisation which is much more than having access to membership.

It is about access to a society which has the very deepest sense of care at its heart and it reflects the philosophy of having been a member of the Regulating Branch or being a member of the Royal Navy Police Specialisation.

Our members are justifiably proud of their service to the Country.

Friends who care in fun, comradeship and need.”

“I am very pleased to serve this vibrant Association as your Patron, and I fully recognise that the continuing success of the RB&RNPA is due to the continued hard work of your President, Chairman and committee, all of whom strive continuously to promote fellowship, camaraderie and mutual support among your members.

Given the continued, diligent administration by your committee, I am confident that the Association’s future success will be assured for many years to come. This is not least down to the conspicuous spirit of care for others which floods its membership. 

I know that humanity, compassion, and myriad acts of kindness form the glue of our Association and help to foster the friendly, respectful, and sprightly atmosphere that pervades all our activities.

“The Royal Navy Police are a modern and globally deployed policing organisation whose credibility and strength is built on the foundations laid by our forerunners in both the Regulating Branch and the Royal Navy Police. Accordingly, it is important to acknowledge and preserve our heritage so that past, current, and future generations can reflect on our shared achievements and track our development as we evolve to meet the growing demands of the Royal Navy and the challenges presented by modern day criminality and other threats. 

The Association’s role in maintaining the important bond between past and serving members cannot be overstated. It safeguards our history through the exceptional work of the museum; and through the considerable efforts of its members, it nurtures pride in our past whilst recognising the changes necessary to meet the demands of a modern Navy and today’s society. Importantly, the Association provides the opportunities to bring people together who respect our history, share our interests and core values, and maintain the camaraderie that we all recognise and enjoy.. 

I commend the efforts of the Association members in these endeavours, and I strongly encourage all past and serving members of the Regulating Branch and Royal Navy Police to enrol and assist in safeguarding this legacy.”

Message from the Chairman

“I too am passionate about the specialisation in which I served and the preservation of it’s fine heritage which we are all proud to have supported through our service. I am committed to continue that support by serving the Association with diligence and enthusiasm as Chairman, and that of the post of Branch Standard Bearer.

Growing our membership through currently serving Royal Naval Police personnel as well as new veteran members, will serve to ensure that in conjunction with our Museum that history will continue to be accurately captured ad infinitum.”
