President’s Message

Ladies and Gentlemen,

So we come to an end of another year. What a year of challenges it has been and quite where it will lead us in 2024 is anyone’s guess. But I trust that it will bring us the hope of new possibilities.

But next year can wait for a few more days. Now is a time for family, love and reflection as we gather at home for Christmas  while the world stops turning for a few hours at least. It is a time that holds all time together. It is a time we stand heart to heart and hand in hand. As we spend joyous and precious time with our families, we remember those who have gone. We share gifts of  peace and joy.  We share love, light and laughter with our families.

Enjoy this festive time. Recharge the batteries and use the opportunity that this magical time affords to ring someone lonely, call on someone new and perhaps make friends.

I would take this opportunity to thank our Patron Admiral Massey, the Vice President, John Masterson, our Chairman, Nigel Carpenter and all Committee members for their dedication to the ongoing success of our Association and for their tremendous input to its proper governance. The gift of their volunteer time to ensure the continued success our Association is priceless, much appreciated and greatly valued.

To you, our valued members, my sincere thanks for your continued support and the pride you demonstrate at being members of an elite naval community.  Please know that you are a source of strength to the Association.

My heartfelt wishes to you all for a Blessed Christmas and a Peaceful New Year – a year which will bring you  much health, happiness and prosperity.
