Welcome Back and many Congratulations are in order.
- We are delighted to confirm that our Curator of the Museum William Dick returned to Southwick Park after a year of absence due to the constraints of the Pandemic.
- The office has been given a makeover by his colleagues who were most happy to see William back at his desk and raring to go. First task of the day, the honour of handing over the Top Student award to PO Lyden, with formal presentations for RNPIC 002/20 due to take place in June 2021.
HMS HOOD 80th Anniversary Commemoration.
HMS HOOD Display is now in the Museum prior to the 80th Anniversary of her demise on the 24th May 1941.
- The 80th Anniversary of the Battle of the Denmark Strait where HMS Hood lost 1415 of her courageous crew, may they Rest in Peace, a devastating blow for Britain and her Allies and a tragic loss for the families.
- It’s fair to say that the Curator has been eager to get back to base to present the display and details of service records of the Regulating Branch and Royal Navy Police family, including the last Master at Arms of HMS Hood.
- A special Thank You to Paul Bevand who has worked closely with our Curator William to provide such valuable, historical information for the records and for display at the Museum.
