Carried forward: Colin and I were together in HMS Ganges in !950, we were both back classed and were drafted to St Vincent in 1951.
We both then served for two and a half years together on HMS Zephyr, as boy, ordinary and able seaman.
In 1955, I was drafted to HMS St Angelo in Malta and Colin qualified as an LPM. he a joined a ship ( cant remember the name) which visited Malta.
We met for a run ashore together.
I joined the branch in 1958 and we then lost touch which was a shame. I did contact his family on his passing
He was a good friend. We had a great friendship – Phil Le Houx.
