Quarter one update
I can’t believe how time has flown and that it’s now been 41/2 years since I became Chairman, and in particular how the world has changed quite dramatically even in that short time, through the aspirations of world leaders that I for one find difficult to understand. I suspect that due to the late stage of life of the large majority of our members, and the way the world had evolved over the years since we all first joined the service, that our reaction to that change is somewhat mutual. I don’t doubt, however, that our younger members will continue to embrace that continual change, adapt to it and move forward with hope for a more balanced future.
Our Association continues to go from strength to strength in all respects, through gaining new members who are currently serving in the branch and who are destined to be the custodians of our legacy for years to come, thanks to the recruitment efforts of Tre Bailey and others. The Association’s fiscal stability is wholly thanks to the accounting experience of our long-time Treasurer Tony Kenny, who willingly devotes quality time to maintaining our financial prudence. The development of our state of the art website over the last four years has been monumental, and has received accolades from external specialists………….(excerpt).
