Service History: David served 24 years in the Royal Navy in Portsmouth, Plymouth, DG and London RNPHQ and various at sea deployments. Starting naval life as a Submariner from Raleigh, serving at HMS Dolphin, Osiris, St Vincent, JAAC, Onslaught, Dolphin before joining the Regulating Branch at Nelson and serving on Cochrane, Mercury, Invincible, Nelson, Centurion, Neptune, Excellent, Drake, Illustrious, bringing his naval career to a close at HMS Collingwood Leadership Academy.

With gratitude for your service and friendship as a fellow member of the Regulating Branch and Royal Navy Police, Royal Navy and legacy support of the Regulating Branch and Royal Navy Police Association. 

Those who served alongside David remember him as a nicer man you could not hope to meet and a pleasure to serve with. David was well respected by many and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A true gentleman.  Rest in Peace David.

The funeral service and celebration of David’s life took place at 1300 on Thursday 28th September 2017 at St. Barbara’s Church, HMS Excellent, Whale Island, followed by a committal service for family and friends at Portchester Crematorium and wake at the Warrant Officer and Senior Rates mess, HMS Excellent.
