Dear Committee and Members,
I Just wanted to update you on my most pleasurable last couple of days.Yesterday I was honoured to take David Lodrick’s place in giving the Association lecture to the graduating class of new Leading Hand (Police)students (LREGs to most of us!) given David’s requirement to shield until December 2nd. The lecture seemed well received and I managed to get across key points about the Association and its continuing quest to protect and promote the Branch’s treasured legacy and direction.
My grateful thanks David for that opportunity.
Today I was honoured to be present at their graduation ceremony held in the church at Southwick Park where Cdr Dean Oakey PM(N) addressed the class and presented their Warrant Cards, and I was privileged to present the RB&RNP Association award to the top student on your behalf.

Later today I was even more honoured to visit John M at his home appropriately socially distanced, and deliver to him his engraved decanter to commemorate his commendable service as our Chairman throughout a challenging time for the Association and more importantly himself. I was also privileged to offer him on your behalf the position of Honorary Vice-President, which he happily accepted, and I presented him with a certificate to commemorate that appointment.
I found John in good spirits despite the unpleasantness of his treatment and he is looking forward to seeing us all at next year’s reunion, God willing! He sends his warmest wishes to you all and looks forward to joining David in their joint ‘watchful eye’ roles.
I have attached pictures of the two presentations, which I hope will be good enough quality for David G and Callie to capture these events appropriately in the HH and the website respectively.
Warmest regards,
Nigel
