From the President’s Chair….

Ladies and Gentlemen:

It is with a deep sense of sadness that I digest of  the news of the resignation of John Masterson.

During his tenure as our Chairman, he had a passion for our Association and was integral to the advances we made especially his “behind the scenes” work he has diligently carried out despite difficult and challenging personal circumstances.

The Chairman of a Service Association is one of the toughest of volunteer roles of all and his tenacity and sheer dedication to our aims and ambitions have borne the ripest and juiciest of fruit. He was a mainstay and judicious steward of our organisation and never, ever flinched in the face of some extremely difficult and soul searching decisions which had to be made.

We would not be where we are today without John’s wise counsel and sage advice. As I look back in time on his time in the chair, it must be said that our myriad achievements would not have been possible without him at the helm.

John has always freely given of his time and resource and by all measures, he has achieved ongoing success on his watch. His encouragement, innovation and energies have certainly made the difference. He leaves our Association on a strong footing and with exciting future in prospect.

John’s leadership while in post, will remain an intense and inspirational light to all and for this, his limitless wealth of common sense and so much more, our sincere thanks and appreciation.  He will be sorely missed and will remain in a constant in our thoughts and prayers.

I now warmly welcome onboard Nigel Carpenter as he takes post as our new chairman.  The breadth and depth of his noted management and leadership skills will  benefit the Committee in particular and the Membership in in general. I wish him every success as he takes up his new appointment.

I thank you all for your continued interest and support of the RB&RNP Association.
